What is a connector (in Noumena)?

A family of backend integration services that link the NOUMENA Runtime to external systems, such as the HTTP Connector, Blockchain Connector, and Wallet Connector.

A connector listens for AMQP messages (NPL notifications), performs the corresponding external action (e.g. an API call), and then calls back into the runtime by invoking an NPL permission or obligation with the result.
