What year was Apple founded?
1976 → tub · cage.

Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded Apple on 1 April 1976, starting with the hand-built Apple I circuit board that Wozniak designed. Wayne, the third co-founder, sold his 10% stake days later for $800 — a share that would be worth hundreds of billions today. The 1977 Apple II, one of the first computers ordinary people could buy and use out of the box, turned the fledgling partnership into a giant of the personal-computer age.
