What is evidence (Beweismittel) in the IAM context?

Evidence is a document from a reliable source containing information about the applicant that can be used to verify an identity; it must contain the applicant's name, may contain an identifier, physical or biometric features and other statements, and should carry security features that make reproduction difficult.

Examples: a certified deed such as a birth certificate, a driving licence, identity documents.
